The Full Story

Maxwell Hall Jazz Band

August of 2008 former school band director (turned I.T. professional) C.J. Lombardo put out a notice across the Alcon campus in Fort Worth, Texas for musicians looking to perform in a jazz ensemble. The initial meeting, held in the small Maxwell Hall auditorium has resulted in the now famed Maxwell Hall Jazz Band.   Few bands are establishing themselves so firmly in the world of music like the Maxwell Hall Jazz band. A multi-talented group of musicians, Maxwell Hall Jazz takes listeners on a compelling journey of the Best of Classic and Modern Music of the Big Bands. The Band has been dazzling audiences since 2008 delivering Jazz, Big Band, Swing, Funk they do it all and you won't forget it! From Count Basie to Pat Metheny…those smooth shiny instruments all in a row, the soloist singing and sax’s playing their hearts out, the silky-smooth ensemble passagework, those spicy brass harmonies, and the whole room bouncing and swaying to those irresistible rhythms! Using original vintage orchestrations as a starting point, coupled with the awesome musicians the Maxwell Hall Jazz Band creates the authentic unforgettable sensation of a Modern Jazz Band who loves to bring back the classics.
