My Story

Gary is a saxophone player who started playing at his local school at 12 years of age. Upon graduation from High School, he attended Mississippi State University and received a degree in Aerospace Engineering. While attending the University he was a member of the marching band, symphonic band, and the top jazz band. After completing his degree in 1988 he moved to Ft Worth and took a job with what was then known as General Dynamics, now Lockheed Martin. While at General Dynamics he played with the company employee jazz band. Gary started substituting as a sax player for the Maxwell Hall Jazz Band in 2012 and became a full-time member in 2014. In addition to playing with the band, he is also active with the MHJB Sax Quintet, a small group that plays for small functions and assisted living facilities.
