My Story

Bernard started playing trombone at age eleven and continued through high school, where he was in a highly-awarded jazz ensemble led by a former, original Woody Herman band trumpet player. As a high school senior, he earned a chair and played bass trombone in the first Louisiana All-State Jazz Ensemble. After studying engineering in college, he continued playing trombone for various annual, community music events and instrumental recording session work. Eventually, Bernard became conductor of the employee jazz ensemble at Bell Labs in New Jersey. After locating to Fort Worth, Texas, he became a member of various orchestras as well as the Maxwell Hall Jazz Ensemble. Bernard has served as a recording studio session engineer, and has served several years as a high school stage/musical producer engineering and mixing live theater audio for large casts and live orchestra. He most recently works as a technical manager supporting network and technology needs for live shows of up to 14,000 guests. Professionally, Bernard has worked in engineering, manufacturing and sales for telecommunications, patenting and recently entertainment arena operations. He is an author and inventor, holding patents as well. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering Technology degree from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and an MBA degree from Centenary College of Louisiana in Shreveport.
